I read on another listing that these were early electronic sounds and ran quieter than later versions but a amplifier was available after market. It is the Lionel 90th anniversary Box Car. It states it has rail sounds but as I don't have an active track is untested and sold. 1900-1906 1990 issue.

Great graphics with no issues on both sides, has off switch bottom and super clean trucks that show run time.
