The packaging consists of a clear plastic sheet to protect the train car body, polystyrene Styrofoam shell that encases car, lid for shell, and outer box with window in front. It is compatible with all 3-Rail O-scale Standard O and semi-scale brands including Lionel, K-Line, MTH, Weaver. Accurate train line details and brake system. Removable coal load.

Saving approximately 2 1/2 tons of steel when compared to all-steel construction, the war emergency hopper was one successful designs. Die-cast articulated couplets with brake hoses. Shipping is only available in the continental US. The Hopper has never been run, as evidenced by the fact that there is no wear on truck wheels.
